Outside of the Office - Passion Projects
My entire life I’ve been obsessed with music as a cultural and creative force, this has led me to use my free time to hold down second/third/fourth jobs in the music scene both internationally as well as back in my native New Zealand - most of which revolved around Hollywoo DJ's. A music collective with whom I've played to tens of thousands of people at the biggest festivals in Australasia - as well as opened for some of the biggest artists in the world. Formerly a co-host of The House Party with Hollywoo & Friends on George FM, one of New Zealand's premier radio stations.
The short version of the hats I wore in the music scene are as follows: I’ve worked as a breakfast radio producer at MediaWorks, a radio host for George FM, booked/promoted gigs at clubs in Auckland since I was 18, DJ’ed extensively at those clubs and festivals since even before then. I’ve managed artists, managed digital distribution for artists, A&R’ed, produced for artists and was in bands my whole life where I sang and dreamt of being Nick Cave and Alex Turner combined (I think Alex Turner also shared this dream).
